Up to 150 traction unit overhauls and 1,500 traction motors or 1,900 traction wheel sets are refurbished in Linz every year.

The halls at the Train Tech factory in Linz have a total area of 61,000 square metres.

The ÖBB factory in Linz looks back on a long tradition: it was built in 1860 and has since developed from a factory for steam locomotives and passenger carriages into an indispensable hub and one of the top addresses in Europe for the maintenance, modernisation and repair of modern locomotives and their components.

Thank you ÖBB for the opportunity to take a look behind the scenes.
